The Orbitronics Workshop will take place from Tuesday, May 5 to Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Les Miléades holiday village in Carry-le-Rouët, near Marseille. The workshop is organized by the team behind theEU-funded EIC Pathfinder OBELIX “Orbital Electronics” project.
The workshop program and all abstracts will soon be available on this page!
THE WORKSHOP
The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts from around the world in the field of orbitronics. It is a unique opportunity to take stock of recent advances in orbitronics, assess their industrial potential, and establish new collaborations that will foster the emergence of original and promising projects on the European and international scene. This workshop will be an opportunity for meetings and discussions, organized around oral and poster presentations.
THE OBELIX PROJECT
OBELIX is a European project that seeks to demonstrate how the orbital moment can be engineered and controlledusing electrical as well as optical means, enabling a novel information carrier that can be transmitted and used towrite and read information, thus outperforming conventional spin-based devices. This project brings together nine European partners, combining theory and application, and aims to assess the industrial potential of obitronics on the market.
